Try searching on the search bit on Facebook 'update Facebook' there click on a few of there's more the one and read the link to see if it's timeline or not that's how I updated mine

go to a friends wall having timeline u will get a option of get time line if this doesent work go to https://www.facebook.com/about/timeline u will get a option at the lower end of the page
