Can't Ever Call Self Beautiful?

Why is it arrogant to say you are beautiful?
How come?

I think everyone should think they are beautiful but not better or more beautiful than the whole world. Shouldn't think they are God's gift!? I mean of course their are instances where we can express feelings like in rejection..."why doesn't he like me, I'm good looking!?"

Or people know they are attractive cause people compliment them all the time, but it's good to be humble, right? Cause no one likes a self centered noob.

But why can't someone say, I feel beautiful today? Or if someone asks how you are, why can't you say...I feel beautiful?

Or on a Facebook picture? Why can't I post "beautiful as the caption?"

If we feel something and say it in the mirror, how come we can't say it? I mean you can't just walk around saying you're beautiful that's self absorbed...but you know what I mean? Is it ever okay to say your beautiful? In a hashtag on an Instagram picture? A Facebook caption?

Personally, I think people who aren't blessed with good looks find it snobbish when people gloat about being attractive. Yes, we should all have self esteem, but I wouldn't recommend throwing compliments at yourself. Instead, work harder to improve your internal characteristics. Like honesty, responsibility, empathy, love, etc.

Even if you are genetically challenged and are the world's most displeasing creature to look at, there is no reason you should not think you're beautiful. So many people don't learn to love themselves, imperfections and all. Tell yourself, yeah i look good as hell even if you don't believe it that day. If anyone challenges that, give them the smack down and ask them why you shouldn't feel good about yourself. Now there's a thin line between loving yourself and being self absorbed. Keep that in mind. If you rely on other people to tell you you're pretty, what will you do when they're all gone?
