My parents won't let me have social networks?!?
I'm 14 and a freshman in high school. No instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or anything. I downloaded vine anyway but I didn't realize that all the apps I download go to my moms phone, so I got busted. What can I doSad?

Stop disobeying your parents they are trying to look out for you.

Don't worry. Your parents are doing it for the best. Mine are exactly the same way, and I don't mind because I can focus more on more important things. It's actually a good way to be. I'm doing really well right now, and it's all because I focus only on school, sports, and music. You'll thank them in the long run.

You should listen to your parents but to be honest facebook and twitter is 13+ so I dont see why you cant use them.

actually to be honest with you, i don't see what you need those things for at age 14, when i as 14 i was in my final year in high school and i still couldn't use things like that. don't feel like they are restricting you, if you really think you need it i think the best thing you can do is to work hard get excellent grades and give them reasons to trust you.

Wait a few years until you are older. My daughter went on UTube. I was worried because of all of the pedophiles and other deviants that troll the Internet so I told her I would be watching what she was doing from time to time. Your parents know this so they are just trying to protect you the best way they know how. Be patient....hopefully when you are more mature they will allow you to establish some accounts on some social media sights.

Maybe you could do the same thing as my Girlfriend. My Girlfriend is 15 and her Mum shares an account with her, that way she can see what my Kerstien is doing, sure It's nice to have a bit of privacy but as me and my Kerstien are in a Long Distance Relationship we heavily rely on Social Networking sites so we can talk to each other.

We have fallen in Love with each other and to be honest any day that I can't talk to her I find a struggle, I miss her everyday and when we are not able to talk It's even harder. I would like that My Kerstien is able to have her own account but I'm also grateful that she is allowed to have an account even if shared so we can still talk.
