How do I get timeline on fb?

I went to the website, and the little button didnt show up, and i was logged in.. so i logged out, went to the website, and the "Get Timeline" button showed up, I clicked on it, and it asked me to sign in, so I did, and then it didnt do anything, it just took me to my page, soo hellp?

Go to facebook, login, search "timeline" in searchbox and click first option, a page will come up, click "get timeline" then go to your profile

The easiest thing to do is to go onto someone's wall who has timeline and at the top it will say they have it and give you a link to get it. Then you just follow the steps. Some advice though - don't get it. I have it and I much prefer the old way and once you get it you can't change it back.

Many users reported that they still don't have the green button to upgrade to Timeline. Some of them tried different browsers and computers but the button still wasn't there. As members from the same family using the same computer had different results, this can only mean that the upgrade is not yet available for some users.

A good way to go about it is to try once a day until the button appears.
