Facebook friend request confusion....?

I sent a friend request to someone on Facebook but when I clicked there profile again a few days later, it still said that my friend request was sent, neither accepted or denied. But then I clicked to my news feed and I say their status on it, even though it says he never accepted it. What gives?!

The same happened to me.Maybe they still haven't seen the request.

It happened to me too. I think with the "new" facebook once you ask somebody to be your friend, it temporarily shows you their statuses + newly added friends, etc. even if they haven't accepted yet. Once they accept, it unlocks the rest of their profile, and if they deny it takes off the limited information you were allowed to see. I'm not 100% sure that's how it works, but that's my theory

You are not the first or the last, it must be a techincal problem.

Bre is right. With the new layout, usually it will say that they changed their profile picture, or added a friend. It just won't give you COMPLETE access to their profile. It also may have something to do with that person's security settings.
