What is the point of twitter and Instagram?
I understand what they are, but why is it any different than Facebook? Isn't a "tweet" essentially just a status update? Isn't Instagram just uploading a picture on Facebook? Even more, people SHARE there tweets and Instagram pictures ON Facebook. It's like and endless circle of self loathing, it's gross.

Twitter is basically for people that can only handle tiny bits of info at a time. It won't let you type huge paragraphs. Instagram is supposedly some super easy way to share photos. Many apps (software) do similar things. It is just preference.
