if depressed you wont find putting it on twitter as a good idea. I admit I self harmed when I was growing up but because I didn't know where to turn for help for a medical condition 2 million people in the UK alone suffer from whether they have had help or not.

if your self harm is due any medical condition there are a number of sites you can get help from but for the gender dysphoria medical condition there's only 1 bit of advice tell your mum she might be accepting of it as the majority of people seem to be accepting of it more and more these days.

as for the cannabis use and your mum confiscating your scissors and now you use a knife all of these are bad but your mums cannabis use seems fine its a natural parental thing with good parents. my parents were the bad kind for someone like me, they drank, they had there religious beliefs and my dad was ex army so I had an extremely strict upbringing. so my advice to you tell your mum everything give her the knife your using now and maybe talk to your GP on your next visit he/she can get you help you need and cant tell your mum due to doctor/patient confidentiality.

how do you think your mum would feel to lose her only daughter as I am assuming you are! think back to how you felt when your first pet died if you had 1 and then times it by about a million and you would be close!
