I know this question might sound stupid or lame but I am being serious in this. So I went on omegle to make friends since I have little in real life. It was the text version, not the video version and I have found that some people there are quite decent to talk with. I have even created a phone app account just to add strangers I have knew on there to be friends. However, after I have met a few perverts there I have decided not to tell my gender to the strangers on omegle so that it reduces the chances of meeting perverts there. After that I have met a few nice people that I talk to and share our experiences with. But I am still confused because I have heard that omegle is a dirty site and there are full of perverts and fakers that are up for something. Now my dad have restricted me from going on omegle and he has taken away my phone so I am unable to talk to those people that I have befriended with on omegle. It has been quite some time and I have been missing them. I am wondering if they are missing me too or something. If you have any experience of this site or you have heard of it you are welcome to answer this.
Hamid: True thing, I have done a test on guys that site and told them that I am a guy too and they leave immediately. And I think you would be surprise that most girls on that site leave too when I tell them I am a female. Although most of them claim they wanted a "clean chat", it just show that it couldn't happen either without ASL.
Oliver: A friend that has everything the same as you??? It is still better to be careful since you don't know him well. Even if you have proven that he is a genuine guy but you still have no idea who he is and what's his intention. Believe it or not, I have once met a "15 year old guy" which is real since I have done test too but he ended up a pervert wanting pics from me. I don't mean that is impossible but it is just not that possible for that to happen. Of course it is possible for that to happen but the chances are not high.

I have tried "friends" and "music" though but I still encounter pervs and weird people in there. So I guess tags doesn't really help much. Most of them are still looking for sex or flirting though.

When I was 15, (I am a guy) I was socially awkward and had only girls for friends. I went on Omegle to make friends and met a kid who so silimar to me, it was scary. I would ask him his hobbies, life problems, and everything and his were the same. I knew he wasn't fake, because we did proof tests. He was a year younger than me. We exchanged kiks and eventually facebooks, and phone numbers. Believe it or not, I met a VERY good friend on Omegle. I recommed typing in "books, friends, movies, talking, learning, music) stuff the perves aren't on.

yeah it's quite annoying i stopped using it just because of the huge amount of perverts , when i say i'm a male 90% leave , i don't blame them they want to talk to girls ... one day i started saying i'm female just for fun hornydirty talk start , damn ... lately i've been trying an other new site it's not as popular as omegle is yet, but ther a lot more nice people and only little amount of perverts , try it out i'm sure you'll like it chatous.com
