Wanting to become a vegetarian..? Help?
I've been wanting to be become a vegertarian but don't know how to start? I live in a house full of meat eaters, no one in my family is a vegetarian so it's a bit difficult since they only feed you meat and such plus I'm only 15. Nobody in my family eats very healthy and only eat very small snacks and junk food ( and yes I am guilty of that ) i need ideas of some vegetarian foods? thanks

Um...idea of vegetarian food is plants. Most vegetarians have to take a daily muti vitamin because plant only matter does not contain all the vitamins the human body needs.

First you should know is you should not take any vow to be vegetarian. it has to be a conscious choice based on reasoning.
If you look at the nature, your digestive system resembles a herbivorous animals and not carnivorous animals.
Have you been the first man on this earth, what you would have eaten is only fruits and vegetables. that means nature has provided that only as food for you,
Once man invented fire, he started killing other animals and started eating them after cooking.
You should also know that many world boxing/wrestling champions were vegetarians.
Many non-veg items such as chicken contains certain harmful viruses for your body which please note.
If you know how to take a well balanced vegetarian food, it would provide all nutrition required for your body.
Then how to start?
First start with 50% of your food with veg. items especially with raw salads based on carrot, Beetroot, cucumber, tomato, nuts, fruits & dates etc.
Slowly introduce different type of cooked vegetarian food in such a way that every week you increase vegetarian food by 10%. In about 6 weeks time you will start consuming full vegetarian diet.
Keep in touch with people who are vegetarian till you are strong enough to resist any temptation for non-veg diet.
Once in a way, if you fail to resist your temptation for non-veg, don't feel disappointed. start once again. After a few falls, you will definitely succeed.
all the best.

There's tons of info online about eating vegetarian...you can probably also find groups on Facebook or other sites you use, that can provide information...

The biggest concern is ensuring you select a good, appropriate protein source to take the place of what you're not getting from meat...

It may be challenging for you until you're grown and buying your own groceries...see the source link for some basic info I looked up for you...
