Should i get the Blackberry or the iPod?

Ok, so my mom's friend has a son and now he has an iPhone 5S now. Anywho he has an old Blackberry 9360 or 9320 whatever and his mom wants to give it to me for free as my very first cell phone. But i use Instagram, and Facebook and stuff like that but the Blackberry doesn't support it. I kind of agree that Blackberry is very outdated. But i am really interested of getting an iPod touch which will be possibly better but my mom is very cheap so she insists that she would take the phone. I heard the iPod touch is better and has Instagram but is it really worth the 299 price tag.But really IDK and i don't want anyone to say for me to get an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy S4. You have to know i'm just 15.

my first phone was a pre-paid phone. Now i own a iPhone 5S. I suggest you take the Blackberry (It's FREE!) then talk to your mom or work out a deal (Ex; If you get straight A's for next semester she will invest in a iPod)

I suggest an apple ipod touch 16gb version. It is only $240 and better than blackberry.

You can change the color. either black or white and it if you want to save some money, go buy used ones listed above.

Just start of basic. An iPod is not a phone though. But Blackberry does have Facebook. Just not Instagram.

And I started out with a Motorola RAZR V3. Yeah, flip phone days!!!
