is there a way to change privacy settings after posting a status?!

Well just the delete the message, but just don't use facebook...ITS A BIG WASTE OF TIME. and uselesses. I only use facebook to chat to people.
Privacy settings are uselesses. If they really want to lookat someones profile they just quickly hack it.

Go to Account>Privacy settings>customize settings i think. it should work. also, before posting there a little lock on the bar where you can add links, music, etc. click it to change who can see your status. hope this helps!
