How do I unlock a droid x phone without resetting it?

I have to get into this phone. We really need to get into my dad's old phone because he passed away very recently and really need his contacts and his Facebook account. He got a new phone a while back but never took the time to transfer all that stuff. We don't know his gmail or any passwords. I've tried a couple patterns but i'm very scared of getting lock out perm. There must be a glitch or something someone knows about! They do that stuff for apple products! I know it is an old phone but someone must remember. I'm desperate!
There is no SD card.

If the phone has usb debugging on there is a method with a specialized program that might work to read those.Basically you should be able to do that in a specialized repair shop or we can try and do that online for you
