Why cant I follow people on Instagram?

It's been 15 hours since I could last follow someone. I use Instagram on my iPhone that I recently got for Christmas and I was just following a bunch of people in hope that they'd follow back(about 25) and it just stopped letting me follow. Every time I clicked follow it would go green for a second then go back to blue. I realised that on the computer I can follow people but its my iPhone that isn't letting me do so. Any suggestions?

I have uninstalled the app and restarted my phone but there has been no change.
The annoying thing is that I can follow on computers and not on my Iphone :/ It cant be following the bunch that I followed as there were only 25 of them and it showed up in my list then I unfollowed them. It was after that when I could not follow anyone else

you can only follow a certain number of people an hour, then it stops you. If you kept pressing follow after it stopped letting you fr a long time i suggest it is going through and following them now) follow me if it starts letting you again @neisha_rose i will follow back and spam you
