How to get people on guest list for club event?
I am new to being an event manager,
Me and my business partner are renting out a club to host our own club event within it,
we have a Facebook page where we add people (so like a Facebook friend) we see it to be more convenient then a "like" page.. & we also have twitter... The problem we are facing is that despite the likes on our post and retweets on twitter people are not adding their names on guest list (guest list offers a cheaper entry fee and we feel like we can get a rough estimate on how many people are coming) we have 5 weeks until the event and we are becoming worried..

My question is how can we get people to text in/inbox/tweet their names for guest list?

It is kind of hard for me to give you any ideas because you don't really say what kind of event is going to be held at the club. Is it going to be open bar? I am guessing not since you are charging a cover. You need to get some kind of concept for your event. And you should probably hire a club promoter to help you with this. Club promoters already have a set group of people that contact on any given time to have them come and attend your event. So with the help of your list of people you have created you can also have the extra manpower of a club promoter or multiple promoters to get people out to your event. Possibly having some press or some kind of media could help as well. One piece of advice I would give, is if you are having an event and you want people to come that are going to be on a list, you really really need to give them free VIP entrance. Also, I don't know what kind of product you are trying to promote, whether you are promoting some kind of drink, or a clothing line, or whatever it is. Obviously you know that whatever you are trying to sell needs to be displayed in front of all your potential customers at all times. Since you said you are new at this, you really need to know that this whole event you are holding is not going to be cheap. Maybe if you charged people for entry you would break even on the event, but let's get real, you can't have a good event with a cover and no free drinks. Consider this cost a business expense. I promise that you will be happy if you play your cards right. So just to simplify it for you, consider an open bar (or drink tickets for people on the list), possibly create some kind of VIP area for the people on your list, hire a club promoter (or several), come up with a gimmick, and overall just have fun!

P.S. no one EVER RSVP's unless it is some kind of established function that everyone knows is a big deal. I would also try to get the event out by word of mouth. Your friends, create an instagram, ask club employees to invite friends, but don't make some kind of cheesy flier. that is horrible.
