Facebook notifications.?

So for about a month now facebook has not been showing me any notifications. The only ones it shows me are the ones if I get tagged and that's it. I get emails about people commenting my picture/wall/status, but not notifications. Is there anyway I can fix this?

click the notifications tab, then click "see all". on the side, check all of the boxes of things you want notifications for. (i.e. photos, notes...)
