Unable to search for people from facebook app?

My name is Alvin and am from India. My mobile handset is Nokia E71. I have the Java facebook in my mobile and I had been using it without any issue since an year. I downloaded the app from http://m.facebook.com . But now I do have an issue. I am unable to search for people using the search tool in the app. It returns with error msg "No results found for 'name' " where 'name' is the persons name name I am trying to search for. I am not even able to search for friends who already in my friend list. I tried logging out from my account and logged in from the same app using my friends facebook account. The search result works for his account. I logged out from his account and again logged into my account. Again the same error message while searching. I tried updating to the latest version of facebook app, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, formatting my mobile etc.. But nothing works. My phone and the facebook app is able to search for people from everybodys account but not mine. What is going wrong. I appreciate if somebody help me plssss
