IMPORTANT: Reorganisation of our European Operations
I received an email in my Junk folder today saying that I have to agree with the new term & conditions or close my account? I found this email in my Outlook email address as I have the connected, I have a Yahoo account & I'm wondering if it legit or not? I'm abit concerned as to what's going to happen.
I've just received one in my Yahoo email right now & according to Google Chrome it wasn't safe when i clicked on the email... Ads |

I've had an email saying the same thing and like you am wondering if it is legit - seems like a phishing scam to me. Yahoo need to confirm one way or the other before I press anything!

I have received email titled :IMPORTANT: Reorganisation of our European Operations"supposedly from YAHOO.
I agree it looks a little dodgy, and have not clicked on anything. I dont know whether connected, but several times this evening I was unable to connect to Yahoo search engine, showing message "Connection Refused" |

I got this message around eight or so times to one Yahoo account, and upon checking another (EU) Yahoo! account I found the same message.
It is legitimate. If you hover your mouse cursor over the links within the email the address that the links are for all direct to Yahoo! web pages. It's merely a notice to make all EU Yahoo! users aware that their Irish 'base' will be handling all email from the date specified, and that their terms and conditions are changing. Quote. What do you need to do? Your continued use of Yahoo services after 21 March 2014 means that you accept the changes to the Terms and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to them, then you must close your account before 21 March 2014. So basically, if you are happy with how Yahoo! is now, simply do nothing and carry on using it. If you are not happy then close your account. If you have a premium account you are entitled to a refund of any existing credit you have left, there's a paragraph in the the terms and conditions section about that. Typically a lot of websites have done this in the past. Google, Ebay, Facebook to name a few. |
