How old do you have to be to get twitter without parents permission?

you just have to sign up and put your birth date as over 16, thats exactly what i have done lol :L

Personally i believe it depends on the child or teen. If you have a good standing relationship with lots of trust it could be any age.

Now if the parent also uses twitter, and follows their children its should also be fine at any age.

I believe at 16 they should be able to make their own mistakes and learn the way of society. That includes all webpages. However, she or he should understand their limitation of posting like never including addresses and phone numbers.
