How many tumblr followers do you have and how can I gain more?

How can I gain 10-50 followers a day? Don't say use tumblr plug, follower blast, or that kind of crap because it doesn't work. I post pictures regularly, have a nice theme, and a nice url, but I still can't gain much. I followed tumblr famous people's tips but it isn't really effective. How do you get your blog out when you don't have a lot of followers? Some people that have been on tumblr for 4 months already have 4k followers and I only have 800. Most people have over 1k at least. I also really want to join a promo group but the ones I known require 3k or 5k and I don't have that much. Also if you want to give away your tumblr because you aren't using it a lot please answer. I would prefer around the 5k follower range. Thanks
