I'm going to be blunt. That program is horrible. Don't walk away....RUN. You won't get a copy of their contract until they are ready to give you the puppy; so after they have your money in hand, you'll find out that they retain ownership, their warranty is a joke, and that you'll have to pay additional money out of pocket for training. If the dog washes out, it is all on you. Over the last couple of months at least half a dozen families have filed complaints with their AGs offices about him. Families that back out (during the fundraising phase) generally don't get their $ returned (or transferred to another non-profit). He also makes some seriously outrageous claims as to what his dogs do.

There are plenty of other programs that will pair you with a fully trained DAD (guaranteed deal so no chance of washout) for less as well as programs that will sell you an imprinted pup for much less than Warren does ($2K max where he wants $6K) that can be OT'd (which is basically what you are doing with his program).

No I will not donate, I might if it was a worthy organization, problem is it's not, get a alert dog from somewhere else, ANYWHERE else but there, I am not someone who is just saying this because I have something against the guy, ok well I do not care for him, he claims to be non profit but does not file all his 'donations' with the IRS making his company not reconizable as non profit

********************************************************************************************************************
MY BIGGEST ADVICE! ask for the contract before you start handing in money to him, do a little reasearch on some of the charges that he is up against at this current time, while you do that you might as well look for a diffrent organization that actually trains alert dogs! If you go through with this program you will be given a puppy, no more than 4 months, obediance in a 4 month old is not even solid yet! Get a trained adult dog, some places might even be cheaper, email me with questions @ scsluvhorses@yahoo.com

I agree with lola. Run away from Warren Retrievers and GASD. There have been so many that have been hurt by his lies. He has also been convicted of felony fraud from when he worked at a car dealership. He was sentenced to 35 years but somehow worked it to probation. It has been said that he has family in the courts where he lives and that is why he doesn't have to serve time.
He is going through a court case now with the Mcleod's in Texas. He is being horrible to this family.
like I said, get out while you can.

What they are selling for $20,000 is a puppy that you will have to train yourself with minimal guidance from them (about 90 hours of instruction). You can get a fully trained service dog from a for-profit organization for as little as $10,000 and a legitimate program typically asks you to fund raise $1,000 to $3,000, not $20,000.

Please have your attorney look over the contract before you turn any money over to them. Any money given to them, even if it is intended for your benefit, will be kept by them if you do not sign the contract. It's a trap. Any money you give them before the contract is signed is THEIRS no matter what happens, and you cannot get it back or get it forwarded to another program. So make sure you read the contract first.

The owner of Guardian Angel Service dogs, aka Warren Retrievers, is VERY charismatic. He is very persuasive. Don't let that sway you. This is your life, your safety, your future.

There are multiple complaints against them for fraud, and at least 3 lawsuits that I know of. Please, please, please, talk to an attorney before proceeding.
