My friend has bipolar disorder and I think he may have hurt himself!!?

Well I have post traumatic stress disorder and I am pretty much open about it to the people I know. However my best friend for life has bipolar disorder and he has no clue that I know this. I just found out this week. I went on his facebook page because I was wondering why he was not responding to my phone calls or text messages and I wanted to see if he was actively posting things on facebook.

Well my friend (like 5 days ago) took this quiz about life and when I clicked on the results on his facebook wall it said that his ending result for the quiz was that he was 95% bipolar and that he should seek professional help. My friend has always been really depressed and always talks negatively about his life. He says he hates his family for all the hell they cause him and that I am his only friend and his best friend for life. He recently told me he is bisexual and that he has this big crush on me cause he knows I am openly gay and he knows that I have this PTSD but has not bothered to tell me his life was this bad.

I am concerned. It has been more then a few days now and he has not responded to my phone calls or text messages. I am worried he might have hurt himself. I just wish I could have helped if I only knew he had bipolar disorder. Problem is if you try to help him he does not like that because he is very independent and does not like admitting when there is a problem. What should I do? I went by his place but no one was there. He never told me that he was leaving on vacation or anything with the family so I doubt it was that cause he tells me everything and recently all he has been talking about is how messed up his life is and how peoples hate causes suicides for others and things like that.

Contact his parents or the police and tell them you are worried about him and why.

i agree with thw other comment..i noe sumone is this exact situation...he wud say hell commit suicide but turns 180 degreez 2 hrs later...but i wud go by his house and check up on him...it cudnt hurt
