Bride 'disappeared' two days after the wedding.....are you as shocked as I am that he was duped by someone wanting a British passport? Ads |

Some people are just stupid. This is one reason Britain doesn't allow foreign nationals to marry in Britain without a fiancé visa, and to get that, the Home Office wants proof of a genuine relationship that has lasted for at least 2 years. Other countries aren't so strict so these two could do it in The Gambia.
The girl is an idiot too - if the police catch up with her, she will be deported as she does not have a marriage visa. Assuming everything went to plan, marriage isn't enough to allow her to live with him in Britain. She needs a marriage visa to have permission for that, and would then be able to get British citizenship and a passport at the very least 3 years later. And then only if they are still together. |
