mean facebook group about me?

i got home the other night to a "page suggestion" on facebook. the page was one a boy in my grade (11th) had made about me. it said: "if 1,000 people join maggie lewis will finally shower" by the end of the night over 100 people from my school, and even alot of people i didnt know, had joined. i was literally crying. i reported the group but it's still up there and even some of my best friends joined it. and now at school people keep coming up to me and going "just a couple hundred more until that stench finally goes away" i dont to be a tattle tale at 16 and tell the principal or my parents or anything, any advice?
and just to be clear, i shower everyday and do not in fact smell. so ik its just a joke and all, and the guy is even kind of my friend, and tells me his jk, but it still hurts
also, i go to a really small school, with about 70 people in my class, so over 100 fans in one night is ALOT

You are being bullied, and from my own experience that is cause to get the principal involved. On the other hand you could just try to explain to the group members that what they have done is very hurtful, and that you would appreciate them taking down the group.

Also, don't waste any more time trying to be friends with these people. If they can't treat you how you deserve to be treated, they are not worth your time. When I was bullied in school that was one of the hardest things I had to do, but I made new friends pretty fast and they were much nicer to me. I'm friends with them still today all these years later. I'm very sorry that you have had this happen to you too - you don't deserve it.

Wow...that is really mean. This guy is not a friend. What an awful thing for people to do and then to join. The only lesson to learn is what not to do to others.

When I was young in 5th grade, i had people make fun of me at a new school. Then I moved and was very popular. I remember how badly I was treated so I befriend other people that were made fun of.

Maybe you will be able to help somebody else some day. I hope you find a good solution. My heart goes out to you for your pain.

Hello? How can making a FB group about someone like that simply be a "joke"?
He deserves a telling-off.

And I don't even want to say anything about those "friends".

My advice would be to screw them.
Act like you don't care. Play it cool. And after a while, things'll blow over.
But keep in mind that these people aren't really your friends. Real friends don't need to make facebook groups about you to get a laugh. Real friends don't just tell you jk and think that it doesn't matter.

Screw them. One day, they might be in the same position and you'll be the one laughing then.
