Why won't they accept me on FB?
I'm in college now but I was and still am decently close to some of my old teachers from high school. I email and visit the school on occasion. I am friends with some on FB but some haven't accepted me. Or declined. It just says friend request sent. What's weird is that they are friends with other former students on FB...what do you think? I don't get it, because I don't post anything dumb or whatever. I know they care about me.

Sorry, but what do you expect us to say? We don't know your teachers. They probably just don't want to clog up their facebook feeds, or have left the request for later/haven't seen it. Either way, it probably doesn't mean they don't like you or don't care about you. I myself don't in general accept requests from people I no longer talk to/haven't talked to extensively, despite me knowing them. I just let the request lie there and don't accept it.
As for your other friends, they probably friended them back in school, while they saw the teachers every day.

Dan....a teacher is not your friend. Even though a teacher has a Facebook page doesn't mean he or she wants students or former students to see all of their posts, likes, etc.

Just because they talk to you when you visit the school doesn't mean they want to keep in contact with you on a regular basis. They could think that you are holding on too firmly to your HS days and want to break you out of that and make real friends with people your own age.

Let this go. Accept the fact that while these teachers may be civil to you when you visit, they don't want you involved in their lives and they don't want to be too involved in your life. It doesn't mean that you're a bad person; it just means that teachers want privacy.

They are fools, do not worry about it.
