Facebook help please?

So my wife has her facebook set up to where everything I do, she gets a notification. I get online she gets notified, my brother posts on my wall she's notified, my dad inboxes me she gets the message to. I'm curious how she did that. My daughter asked to have a Facebook and i want to have that on my account so i kno what she does. My wife said she doesn't remember how she did it. Can anyone help me out?

Change the status of you and your wife from "friends" to "close friends"

How?

1. From your News Feed, click Friends in the left column. You might have to click More to see the Friends section.
2. Click Close Friends to view the list.
3. Click the Notifications dropdown in the top-right corner.
4. Choose whether you want to turn off these extra notifications.
