My boyfriend told me it's ok if I want to be just friends!?

I have two very close guy friends that I hangout with and talk to more than my boyfriend. One of them (lets call him max) is friends with him but he told me he doesn't like max because max stole his friend's girlfriend & that max likes me too. I told him I don't care because I like him, that's why I'm with him. He got jealous and told me he doesn't want to get in between our friendship and that it's ok if I want to be just friends. But I don't want us to breakup, I still want to be with him. What do I do? What do I tell him? He said we'd keep talking monday because I had to leave, is it ok if I tell him that I want to make things between us work on facebook?
