Why do people get so butthurt over something so stupid?

I deleted folk from my college class off of facebook. My reasons for this was I felt excluded from the group. I'm kinda shy but I do put in effort to come out of my shell. it's hard for me but I do try.

So anyway I removed them from facebook because I was interested in making friends but whenever I suggested doing something nobody bothered so I just stopped caring and I didn't see any point to having them on there so bye bye.

One of the girls got all butthurt about it and brought it up twice. So I told her my reasons and she started saying that I'm too old to hang out with them (I'm only 26) and that I make them uncomfortable. Fair enough I don't actually care.

But if she doesn't want to hang out with me (like in a group not a date or anything) why get all pissed because I deleted her?

Because she wants to make some drama. It's not your fault, so don't buy into it.
