Great info there. My account hasn't been hacked since I followed his advice.

Check your computer for spyware.

Check for spyware but also require a security code for your account so when a non recognized device tries to get into your profile you'll receive a text message with a code provided from Facebook. If they don't have the code they can't get in unless they are some serious hackers

Facebook is one of the hardest things to hack. You also don't say how you know your Facebook has been hacked. Think about what you could be doing to have this happen 3 times in one week because that is highly improbable. I'm thinking that this is being done by someone you know; either a friend or family member.

Do you leave your Facebook open all the time, even when friends are over your house? If someone had a little time alone with your computer and open Facebook, that person could put things on your wall.

Do you use the Internet on a wireless router that isn't password protected? If so, you could be setting yourself up for a hacker.

Do you use passwords that would be easy to guess at by a friend or family member? If so, rethink your password selection.

Have you sent your computer out for service recently? Was this person reliable? If not, spyware could have been put on your computer. Have it checked out by a reputable dealer or service professional.

The first three have to be done by people you know. This is because they are aware that you leave your Facebook open and that your router isn't protected.

To prevent this from happening again, don't leave your Internet open if you aren't using it. Don't use easy passwords and never discuss your passwords with friends or family. Always use reputable dealers when getting your computer serviced.

Lastly, if you use public hotspots or have a wireless router, think about using a proxy service. A good one will give you extra protection of having all of your information encrypted. But even with a proxy, you need to remember to delete your cookies so your username/password don't automatically pop up when Facebook is opened.
