How to delete an old facebook account?

I have an old account on facebook that I haven't used in a long time, it only has one friend and nothing else. I have a new account I use frequently but this old account is annoying me because when my friends search me, both come up. I deleted the email for the old fb account and I don't know the password. I've tried pretty much everything but the old account won't disappear, how do I get rid of it?

Well without the email account linked to Facebook account or its password, you are out of luck. The only thing you could try to do is re-create the email account and try to recover the password. Without being able to log in to the Facebook account, there is no way to get it deleted.
