WHAT IS THE POINT OF TWITTER?

i mean i don't get it you sit and tweet people all day and people follow you how stalkerish is that but anyways the other thing that bothers me is when people on myspace and face book update their status every three seconds i mean who cares if you just took a shower or you eating dinner wtf lol. but anyways back to twitter what is it for and whats the point.

I think people only get a twitter because they're conceited enough to think others actually care about what they're doing 24/7.
I also can't stand ppl who update their statuses on FB every five seconds. I think they do it to show off that they have a life or whatever. Really, I think that kind of destroys the purpose because updating your twitter and FB every five seconds kind of shows you don't have a life.
