People like to think somebody cares about their mundane daily tasks. They're really not. Nobody uses it to hear about other people, they just use it to talk about theirself.

I guess one could contend it gives insight into the thought process of people, as it's not something they've thought through. It gives an idea of what they consider exciting, important, interesting, funny etc.

I like it. I used to blog but I don't have many thoughts that are more than 140 characters anyway - so twitter works.

I just don't really get it. I tried it but it didn't grab my attention at all. Kind of lame.

I can see myself in the movies with my picture in city lights. Photograph my mind and whatever else you'd like to shoot you decide...All we care about pornographic, girls on film and body plastic.

Self indulgence and ego boosting. I like to use it because it gives me an excuse to talk about myself, which is my favourite topic. No-one really pays much attention to other peoples tweets really, though I do just out of interest, but then I'm not following very many people.
