Can I have different twitter names within one single twitter account?

I see some people have different twitter addresses. Do you need to open different twitter accounts with different mails or can you have different names within one single account?

They only allow a limited number of characters for your twitter name. For example I use Dean_AdMan_Todd ,15 characters is about all they give you, but you can have more than one account with twitter.
