Does anyone know how to get a Marketing entry level job (like marketing assistant)?

I have a degree in marketing and I graduated in July 2012. I want a career in Marketing and looking for an entry level job like a marketing assistant but just can't get one. I am going to start cold calling companies and visitng them, pitching them myself but I have no idea what kind of companies to call or visit that will have this type of role?

I've got a job with a company you have heard of and was promoted through the ranks, never took a marketing class in my life.

I write for their blog, do product description videos for their youtube page, and help manage their facebook page. Why? Because i'm funny in the meetings, and buy breakfast or lunch intermittently.
