Notification sounds on Sony Xperia L?

Hi,

How can I get my phone to only give notification sounds when I get a text or phone call, but not every single facebook message, twitter update and e-mail?

It's so annoying, I turn on my wi-fi and am bombarded by my text sound just for facebook etc.

go into settings and add the sound for each action required

you could turn off your notifications from facebook, as long as you have them on, I dont think you can mute only them somehow!
