What does this mean on facebook?

I clicked on a message on facebook. Were it use to say their name it says facebook user and their picture is still there, whats that mean?

This means they have either deactivated there account or it has been banned. But you are still always able to see there picture that they last posted as there profile picture when the account was live.It's a new app Facebook made so you know who that person was.
