Talk it over with your parents before starting any business.

You can start a social media enterprise and limit enrollment to kids only.
When a member becomes 18 years old they would automatically be booted (kicked) out.

Facebook is starting to decline because a lot of users parents have now opened a FB page...
So young people are now leaving FB.

Pick the perfect name for your social media business also (something catchy, youthful exciting).

Pearlmar is wrong.

You can start a business in UK at any age as long as you understand what you are doing and there is no age restriction on what you are selling.

However certain things require you to be 18, like opening a Paypal account, so you will have to do this (and Ebay and the like) through your Parents.

Lipsticks and makeup are very good and they have a good profit margin.

If you find somewhere local you can go to a wholesalers and look through their stuff, and buy what you like, then sell online.

Ebay via your Parents is probably easiest (also Etsy and gumtree), ask them for a credit limit for you, in other words how much money you can spend and then see if you can sell the stuff and make a profit, and if you do, re-invest that profit into more stock to sell.

Work out what costs on top of purchasing your stock, like packaging, and postal costs. also Paypal takes its cut, so factor all those in, Hermes direct are probably as cheap as anyone for delivery, but the Royal Mail and your local post office might be as cheap.

Here are some websites to get you on the right track, and remember to get your parents to okay everything, if it is done online.

Also look at building a website, but don't go for a free website as they are too expensive, by that I mean you carry other peoples advertising, but if you start making a profit selling through Ebay, Etsy and others (Amazon?) it is worth looking at getting your own website.

Mine has cost less than £150 for 3 years, I would put a link but people delete my responses when I do because they don't like my politics hey ho, but it is my name with .com at the end so if you google it you will find it, however I haven't got round to doing a start your own business page yet. Note there is a website design called Weebly which allows six pages free, and gives a very professional finish to a start up website.

But good luck.

And always remember Efficiency pays wages.

After having a chat with your parents first, you could look at advertising as a human billboard, for business that want to get there message heard. If they want you to hand out a flyer charge them more. Most online businesses are looking to get there message out in front of the public eye. Let the business supply the information and you just walk around and be noticed. http://www.thbe.info
