on fb go to your profile>about then click edit under contact information
then in mobile phones change sharing to only me

in *whatsapp if you have not saved other persons number that person cannot view your profile photo

In whatsapp if sum1 has your number he/she can msg you, You cant make your whatsapp account private or change your privacy settings but you can change your number --settings--Account--Change Number
SOry there is no feature in whatsapp to make your account private But it might be possible with sum apps in google play !
