Who is responsible for hacking my facebook account and using it as advertisment source?

So wasn't on facebook all day. I come one facebook, to realize that my account was hacked and being used as an advertisement source, posting adds for free laptops on ALL of my friends walls. Is anyone else getting this problem, and who is responsible for this???

If your thinking you got hacked you didn't.....well it depends what your definition of hacked is. What happens is that when you like certain things on facebook, (especially the ones that say you have to like something in order to see a video or something) you agree to let the page pst status' and snd messages, which are filled with spam and ads.

You are for not not using a secure password and security question/answer. NOBODY can hack Facebook easily. The problem is that you probably use a password with some relationship to yourself, family, friends, telephone numbers, addresses, pets or similar. And do not use a question/answer that truly relates either. If your question is mother's maiden name, use an untrue answer. Just make sure you remember it. If it is your first pet's name, make it an untrue answer. You use anything related and sooner or later through your posts, photos, and chats you tell people what your password or secret answer is, or at least enough for a good guess at it. And make the password at least 8 characters long, mix upper and lower case letters, and some numbers. But NOT your telephone number area code, anyone can work that one out. 90% of hacking is done by "friends".

I had the exact same problem. I just found out today, and it wasn't pretty. Just change your password and you should be fine. Maybe put in a few numbers or something so it'll be harder for someone to hack into it? As for the hacker, I have no idea who it would be. You should report it to the Facebook team.
