How do I change my Yahoo profile picture?

I understand how to do this process (go to the top left corner and click on profile, then click on your image and change it to the picture you want) but whenever I do that, it doesn't work. For example, I have a picture of me right now, so then I go to change it to no picture and it does change it but when I exit out of that tab then go to answers.yahoo.com again, it still has that picture of me.

You can use a photo or a Yahoo! cartoon avatar, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.

Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.

If you want a cartoon avatar, go here to create one: http://avatars.yahoo.com/ - then click on "Yahoo!" under "Export your Avatar".

In case you want to use a Facebook or Twitter avatar, you need to link those accounts in the Profile options.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about , click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously.

Note: if you are on a mobile, you need to switch to desktop mode first in order for this to work.
