Android market, FREE APPS ?

I'm on verizon. I cannot charge anything extra on my bill but of course I have the 30$ data plan for every month..the unlimited internet.
Is there any free apps for the droid? such as....facebook app? I don't have the facebook app on my droid x at the moment.
Would it charge anything extra to view the android market and get free apps?

There are many apps on the Android market that are competely free to download and use

Go to your Android market. Click apps
Choose any category

At the top of the page you will get three options. One of them is 'top free'
Those are the ones that are completely free
If there is a charge it will show on the app..
