why are most of my channels missing on dish network?
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but 2 days ago a message popped up on the tv and said there was 48 hours until the payment was due.. now today, when I got up I turned the tv on and many of the channels are missing. the lowest it goes is 71 and it used to go down to 11. so we are missing all local channels.. plus many of the HD channels are missing also. (many of which I watch daily -.-) my mom says that my step dad DID pay the bill, but that message showed up and now 2 days later channels are missing? is this common sense and he just didn't pay? or what's going on

I can see why this would be frustrating, Christy.

In most cases when the service is interrupted for non-payment, all non free access channels will be removed until the account is restored. If he made the payment, it's possible he didn't pay the amount that was due, or the payment may not have cleared at the time the account disconnected.
