Girls, why would she give me her number when...?

I met this girl some time ago and that was it, then weeks had passed until I seen we had mutual friends on Facebook. I added her and over time we message eachother on Facebook. One night we were messaging each other.and started talking about a restaurant that has different types of food. She replied by saying "aww I want to go", then I went into details of the food the restaurant serviced, then she said " oh alright". Then I told her that I will bet her 20 dollars that she will like. After she said "lol you are on, but you have to take me". I told her that let me know whenever she available. Right after I messaged her, she replied by saying "text me!!!". After that message, I felt her games began. I asked her what's her number, then her next message she told me " unless you don't want to text me". I just told her if she want to give it to me then she can. She then gave to me and said she will be waiting for my text. Since then I been texting her off and on, but she takes at least 30 minutes to reply back for every text. I just she might.be busy and didn't thought anything about it. I finally asked her out to eat, but finally at the last minute she told she had to work. I told her don't worry about it. So yesterday I ask her again and she said she had to work. I told that I can bring food during her lunch time and just chill, and she never replied back. My question is that what is the point of her giving me her number qhen she is acting like this? Or is it just nothing?

Women are weird. Don't put too much stock in her. Once when I was 20ish - a girl I knew and talked to on numerous occasions gave me her number. I called a couple times and "her mom" told me she was unavailable. She commenced to tell my friends SHE answered both times and thought it was funny as hell. I asked her why she gave me her number in the first place ... she laughed and said "I don't know". Women can be strange.

She could be thinking each answer thoroughly so she doesn't make a mistake bc if she was to message u immediately without thought it shows she doesn't really care but you might have a chance
