Hashtags on Instagram not working?

What's the deal with this? As a photographer, pretty much the only reason I could use the service of Instagram is because of the benefits of hashtags in having people I wasn't able to reach before see my work. And my hashtags don't do much of anything. They don't even archive images under the hashtags for my own name.

What gives?

P.S. I'm using the latest iOS. The app is freshly downloaded/installed. My Facebook is linked. My posts aren't private.

Did you try reinstalling it? Have you tired restarting (turning it off and then back on) your iPhone? Try the first 2 I gave you, if it still doesn't work maybe it's a bug from a new instagram update but I don't think so, as the Android version of instagram still has working hash tags. If the first 2 don't work, contact them.
