question about myspace and facebook accounts?

ok so my husband is in the military and he was in training last year. i have a myspace page and i was curious to see if he made one and he did but didn't tell me about it. it didn't have a picture of him but it was his name and he didn't fill out any information as far as if he was married or not and he had no friends. when i asked him about it he said that he started one to communicate with me but got bored with it so he didn't finish his myspace page and didn't want to waste any more money renting the computers to create a myspace when he could just call me. i believed the whole being bored with it part because he had a myspace before and he hardly went on there so he deleted it. but i just wasn't sure about the rest of his story.

anyway so then awhile later while on my facebook i upload some pictures with my husband in it and i tagged him. to tag him you have to type in his name and email address. when i did, i realized that there was a link i could click on where his name was. it brought me to a profile that had his name, but no picture or information. and if i remember correctly he had no friends. i asked him about it and he was in shock because he said he never made a facebook account and hasn't even been to the website. i checked the email the facebook account was linked to before i asked him about it and there were no facebook emails. a little while later when i checked my profile pictures again, i wasn't able to click on my husband's name to bring me to a profile page. i also looked for his name on facebook but i couldn't find him. then when i tagged him in photos later, facebook sent emails to the address i gave it and he got them but it said "click to see the picture here" and when i searched for that email address on facebook it said there were no results.

so my question is, is it possible to have an account on facebook without actually creating one? or are there any other possible scenarios? he swears up and down that he's never had a facebook. please help?

there is no way his name should show up if he hadnt made a page, it might be someones elses with the same name etc. but that his highly doubtful. i would email facebook, it might be a glitch and they will probably tell u that. my facebook account is weird at times to..
