Friends order on facebook?

Is there a certain order that friends show up on your profile on facebook timeline?
Or with chat? (The way it's divided in half and the second half is called "more online friends")
Just curious to know!

By default, a changing selection of all your Facebook friends always appears under the Friends heading in the left column of your profile. This selection might include friends who you interact with the most in Wall posts, comments and mutually attended events. However, Facebook does not select friends to show based on whose profiles you choose to view or who you interact with over messages and chat.

Your family and relationship partner appear here, too.
If you choose to add family members or a relationship to your profile, those people will also be featured in the left column. Remember that you can always restrict who can see this information using the audience selector when you edit your profile.
