Should i get a facebook?

Im 15, in grade 10 and have no facebook. Everyone i know has one, but should i get one? I think it would be awkward because everyone made theirs in like grade 8 but id be making mine now. What do i do?

You are not obliged to make a facebook account just because everyone else has it. Think of the need. If you think other forms of social media like texting and emails are good enough for you to stay updated then forget facebook.

In my case, I only started using facebook because I can easily send and receive documents, pictures, and messages with my friends. There was also a time when our professor gave out our homework through facebook. So there.

Just make a point before making it that you could never be bothered, why does everyone need to know anyway? Set one up and if anyone asks you just say "I had to what all the fuss was about" at the start only post twice a week or something and don't like any photos so it looks like you're not on it hope it helps!

Yes, you should. There are ways to communicate with facebook that is much faster than using a phone or email.

While I don't care what people think, I got my Facebook account because I wanted one, not because I feel obligated that I have to get one because other people have one.
If you 'feel awkward' about being the only one in grade 10 who doesn't have a Facebook account, it will feel more awkward waiting and then being 30 years old and being the only one who doesn't have an account. Get it now.
