Why is my Facebook page going so slow?

Anyone else had any trouble with Facebook slowing down?

Whenever I log on it is now taking upwards of five minutes to send a message, sometimes five or more to post a status update and it even takes at least three to load the page.

I heard if was because of all the advertisements the Facebook is now allowing.

It also does the same thing on my phone and on other peoples computers so it's not my drive?
Whoever can tell me why this is happening gets ten points.

It has to work though.
I am also adding that any other webpage be it YouTube, MySpace (yeah Myspace sucks) and even google seem to load fast.

maybe your unit has slow internet connection. and maybe when you tried to open your account on other's unit, they also have slow internet connection.
