On facebook, how do i make it so that people cant see the pictures i like?

I love the band Big Time Rush (no hate please), and most of my friends on facebook would make fun of me if they see stuff that i like that is about them. I dont want that to happen, so i've just been liking the pages that are music/band so that i can change the setting to custom, then my few friends who know and understand about BTR.
Just a few minutes ago, this popular girl messaged me askign if i like them, cuz the pictures i've been liking have been appearing on her news feed, and she says its annoying.

Now im paranoid because all of the pictures i've been liking have still been showing up on other peoples news feeds, and i thought that if i just did the custom thing it wouldnt show up.

Does anyone know what to do? how to change it? Im really worried. please? thank you.

1. Simply don't like it - like I mean if you see the photo just think in your mind you like it, it might seem an unappealing solution but psychologically over time you will think other wise.

Here's the other solution:

1.Click "Account" in the upper right corner of any Facebook screen and select "Privacy Settings."

2.Click the "Customize Settings" at the bottom of the "Sharing on Facebook" section.

3.Locate the "Posts by me" line in the "Things I Share" section. Click the gray icon at the right end of the line and select "Friends Only" from the drop-down menu.

4.Go to the "Things Others Share" section and choose the "Friends Only" option for "Can see Wall posts by friends."

5.Click "Preview My Profile" to see what your new settings will look like. Click the "Facebook" logo in the upper left corner of the screen to return to your homepage. The new settings will be saved.
