She crossed a professional line, but when you agreed to make her your friend you invitedher over that line with open arms. There's nothing illegal about making your boss your friend on Facebook but it certainly is ill-advised. NEVER BE FACEBOOK FRIENDS WITH YOUR COWORKERS!

I find it very strange that your boss had to view your husband's profile to see you had a boy. You didn't tell her?
