friends list on facebook timeline?
On the new facebook timeline on the right hand side of the screen there's a box showing a list of my friends,there's 8 of them there.I wanted to know if the friends that are in that box are chosen at random or who've i've interacted with recently or who viewed my profile recently.What does it mean that their pictures are there?

they are the people who you have the most in common with... based on mutual interaction as explained here

i think its displayed randomly because some have appeared in my friend box i don't really interact with

It's random.
Think about it. Do you think that Facebook developers have the time to look through your chat and photos to determine who you hang out and communicate with the most? No. It's random. Hope I helped!
